Thief!!!
This face looks innocent, but that's exactly what she wants you to think. Snow White stole from Bashas today. I would know I saw the whole thing and had to pay for the embarrassment and the merchandise.
Every time we go to the store my kids and I have this conversation at the checkout line:
Cotter or Quinci:"Mom Candy Pleeeease"!
Mom: "No, Sorry"
Cotter and Quinci:"Pleeease?"
Mom: "I love you, but still no"
Well...Quinci decided to bypass the whole conversation and take matters into her own hands. We had just finished checking out and were walking out of the store, and I turn around to see her stuffing bubble tape gum into her mouth like a hungry pig on steroids. I gasp and she looks at me with that "OH CRAP" look every Mother is familiar with. She then chucks the container and starts running down the isle as fast as she can dragging all 6ft of that unraveled bubble tape gum behind her. In all the commotion we attracted the attention of everyone in the store. Yay! It was actually really funny. Snow White appears to be so sweet and kind, but I bet she has stolen a few diamonds from the 7 dwarfs.
Princess and Superhero Party
This was one of the funnest parties ever!!!
Princesses:Quinci, Callie, Elsie, Jaylie and Isabella
Superheros:Ethan, Gage, Cotter and Charlie
Quinci was so excited to wear her new dress. I put makeup on her, and she felt so beautiful. She twirled all over our house.
I think this was the first time ever she sat still to get her hair done.
We made cookies and decorated them
Each kid brought their favorite food. We ate: Macaroni and cheese with cut up hot dogs, pancakes, pretzels and cheese, and cantaloupe.

All in a days work. It was such an easy party to plan and the kids had so much fun!
Way to take one for the Team

I hate picky eaters! I have two of the pickiest eaters in the whole world. I always ate everything my parents gave me, I ate: Veggies, weird stuff, and I would always try new things. My kids are so picky they won't even eat stuff they like. I started hiding vegetables in some of their favorite foods and now they are on to me. Cotter examines his food from every angle thoroughly, and when in doubt about the contents says,"No thank you mom...it's yucky". I was getting tired of this polite disgust. How gross can it really be, you eat dirt! I was determined one night to change his mind. We were eating rice and it tasted good so I was determined to make him eat just one bite. I said, "Cotter you eat one bite and I'll give you a chocolate ice cream cone." he was intrigued, but not determined. "Cotter eat your food or go to time out". He sat there looking at it for about ten minutes then took a bite. His eyes started watering, and he gagged a little. Then we laughed, is it in his head or what? I said swallow it!!! He swallowed the rice then got off his chair and barfed all over the kitchen floor! I felt so bad! Poor guy. So he and Quinci got their ice cream, and I think twice now before I force them to eat something.

We are going private.
Let us know what your emails are and we would love you to come see our family blog in the future. We just have to make it more private.
Thanks
Anything to move past that last post.
As cool as it is to be able to say I've completed the gallon challenge. It is also a little embarrassing that I can do it. I posted this picture to say that I have the best family ever.

Gallon Challenge
The Gallon Challenge. Possible or not possilbe?...POSSIBLE! Today Dane Made History, and became the first ever to defeat the Gallon of Milk. Not only did he drink a gallon of milk in less than one hour he did it while eating half a pan of lasagna. I got to admit it...I thought it was kinda hot. I have only heard about this sick tradtion and how it is not humanly possible for the human body to consume a gallon of milk in less than an hour. I've heard stories of guys trying and Blaaaaarfff...yuck! I don't really get it, but Daney I'm so proud of you!

Thrifty Finds

So, Goodwill just opened up by my house, so on Saturday I went to find my treasure. I was looking for a chair to reapholster, but instead I left with a silver butter dish, books ...and my find! The store was Huge and packed with people so I skimmed the isles not really searching for anything in particular. Then I turned down isle 7and found bliss. My new goal jeans. I love this brand of jeans and they seemed to be smiling at me with their price tag that read $7.99 + 50% off. That's right my new jeans cost me a woppin $4.00! All I could think about was hurry grab them and run for the check out counter before anyone else trys to take them! Bargain shoppers are crazy. I'm one of them, I should know. Every other Saturday Goodwill has their 50% off sale...so go! You may find one man's junk is another man's treasure.

My Big Brother Dizzy
There lives a man on Stapley and Main. Is he homeless? Is he insane? He dances around all day long throwing out wierd symbols with his hands that mean what? It would appear as though this man is a wako, a lunitic, the kind of person you never want to see in an alley. But I found out who this man really is and I found out he is actually a very nice guy!
Today I made a new friend. He is a local legened, a man well known to those native to Mesa. My whole life I've known him as the crazy Homless man we call Dizzy. Today for the first time I was able to have Dizzy answere all my life long questions I've had about him. Like What are you doing, What is your name, what is your message and did you really get hit by a bus and now have millions of dollars?
I am so proud to live in Mesa! I'm a native, born and raised right here in the east valley and I have so many stories, memories, and people that have made impressions on me that will last a lifetime. Dizzy is one of those people. C'mon where else will you find a place that has a famous homeless man who's reputation has earned him celebrity rights? The day met him I jumped out of my car ran right over to him and started asking him all sorts of questions. I'm sure he was thinking to himself,"who is this crazy girl"?!
Dizzy's real name is Robert. Robert was born in Conneticut and raised in New York. He joined the US Army and now is fighting for God's army wearing the armor of God.
The New Testiment is his sword and he protected by his shield of faith. He told me that he is a diciple of God and He has been saved by the grace of God. He has an attitude of grattitude and has found much joy in worshiping the Lord. He dosen't belong to any particular church but knows he is Christian. He worships the Lord by symbolic dancing along main street. His message is simple, Jesus loves us and the more we seek God the more we will find God. His favorite scripture is 2nd Corinthians 5:13
"For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober it is for your cause."
I found Robert to be a little extreme, but also an great example for me. He has dedicated many years of his life to the lord. He spends much of his day worshiping the lord out in the 120 degree weather. He may seem crazy but I think he will be blessed for his efforts. God understands our hearts and Dizzy's heart is in the right place. He told me, a stranger, that he is my big brother and that he loves me. he was thrilled to find out that I was religious and that I loved God. He said that he plants the seed of knowledge in those who listen to him and God waters that seed and their spirits grow. I wanted to meet the crazy, homless man Dizzy, but I met Robert, a missionary of God who has found happiness in the simple fact that Jesus loves us!

Heaps of Pattersons Reunion 2008
We just got home from Dane's Family Reunion. We went camping in Greens Peak, it was so much fun and SoOoOo pretty! We spent most of the week hanging out and riding Quads. Cotter and Quinci loved going for rides, they came running every time they heard the engines start up. As soon as we got off they hoped right back on the quad put their helmets back on and were ready to go again. They even figured out how to start up Uncle Brian's quad. We took our kids for so many rides we finally wore them out, we came back from a ride and noticed that both of them had fallen asleep. It was so fun for all of us to get to know the Pattersons better-Dane has a great family! Here are some pictures of the trip:
Our Trip started out looking like this...it reminded us of "Goofy movie".I still don't know how we fit all that crap on our car!
We even took jazz out on a ride and she ran along side the Quad-we got her going 25mph!
The whole Patterson Family-notice how Quinci is still wearing her helmet.
SoOoOo Cute!
It was such a fun trip, we hope we can go again! Next year we plan to bring our own quads!

Dinosuar Museum
For the last year we have gone to the Mesa southwest Museum Aka: The Dinosuar museum. We have had so much fun and learned about, aligators, turtles, poop, evalution, Indians, old west lifestyle, jail, minners (we have so much gold), rocks, cavemen, feathered Dinosaurs, fossils and of course Dinosuars. This place is also the reason I have 2 baby t-rex running around my house all day everyday! Cotter's obssesion has not only grown but become a way of life for him. Everyone who knows Cotter knows his love for the Dinosaurs. He can't help himself. His Primary teachers taught a lesson one Sunday about family and asked each sumbeam to draw a picture of their family. Cotter drew a cute picture of all of us...in Dinosuar form, and when his teacher asked him what his Mommy did to help his family he said,"Mommy takes us to the Dinosaur Museum". I'm so glad the boy has something to love! He also has countless books about dinosaurs which he wants me to read to him every night. Poor Quinci-she just wants to read Cinderella. Everytime we go they are facinated and I always have to bribe them with DQ ice cream to get them to leave. Our membership is expiring so we took some pictures the other day:
